Dedications at Graves Central and Paducah’s
McNabb occurred Tuesday, Oct. 2.

BATTLING POOR HEALTH HABITS – Graves County Central Elementary
School’s knight mascot cuts the ribbon to dedicate the school’s
new outdoor fitness equipment. Holding the paper-link chain, at right,
is ceremony emcee Al Chandler. From left, are third grader Paitlin Wyatt;
physical education student teacher Jennifer Becker; and representatives
of Western Baptist Hospital: Dr. Patrick Withrow, medical director of
the new Baptist Heart Center; Bonnie Schrock, vice-president of patient
services; and Dona Rains, the hospital’s marketing director. Western
Baptist donated the equipment in collaboration with Project Fit America.
PFA is a national, non-profit organization formed in 1990 and dedicated
to helping children to be physically fit. PFA administers grants that
its sponsors donate to schools, grades K-12. Western Baptist made a similar
donation to Paducah’s McNabb Elementary School.
